Where can I get more of the hormone testosterone? I really want to start taking hormones to be more like a man. Magnolia replied: "Hormones are supposed to be difficult to come by, even when prescribed. The best bet is to talk to your doctor, and explain your reasons. They may or may not give them, though. If you want a deeper voice, you can try vocal lessons. They won't do exactly what testosterone will, but they will help, and over time, your voice will deepen. Age should also help. Once your hormones have balanced off, and your sex-drive tapers (mid-20's to mid-30's), you're voice should deepen a little on its own. To have a body more like a man, dive into sports and do weight lifting. Men also eat differently than women, and that helps them to look more like men. Try eating more protein and starches (if you're not diabetic). As a general rule, men eat more of those than women do, and that does contribute to their physique.
However, if you're a curvy, hour-glass figured woman, doing all that and taking testosterone won't change the way you look enough for you to notice. Others will probably notice, but chances are, you won't."
Has HGH been shown to induce the testes to produce more testosterone? I am currently on testosterone replacement therapy, and concerned that adding this hormone from outside sources will even further decrease my testes own production of T.

If, however, you're introducing hormones because you don't have sufficient levels due to some problem or another, then does it really matter? If normal level is 100% and you introduce 50% more, then the body will only make 50%. If you're making 10% and you introduce 100% then in my logic your body would stop making it altogether, but you're already so deficient that it doesn't matter much. Once you stop introducing hormones your body should start reproducing its own again."
