About Most Reliable Honda Motorcycle in Q&A
What is the most reliable Motorcycle make for common street riding? Not for enduro or for racing. Just commuting and cruising. Rule out location. Say you lived by every dealership with an equal distance from your home. But were on a limited budget and never rode a motorcycle before. But you do have your knowledge and experience. Say you choose Honda. (For example) Why is it more reliable than Yamaha (example) Thanks a lot. I've been saving up. It seems like gear alone is a huge investment.

Shane A replied: "All of the major motorcycle companies make very good motorcycles. There isn't one that is better than the others, if there was everyone would buy that one and the others would go out of business. If one was bad then nobody would buy it and that company would go out of business. Find the bike that you like, sit on it and see how it fits, if the dealer will let you, take it for a test ride. Look for rider reviews on the internet. Have fun."

tim replied: "All the Japanesemakes are very reliable these days,i would just choose on type ie supermoto, road , commuter etc and check secondhand machines , when you decide what model of bike u want read up reviews by other owners online , my old Yamaha 500 is 25 years old and has done well over 50,000 miles but still starts on second kick (no electric starter)."

Bear Shaman replied: "Harley Davidson has been getting better over the years, but the Big Four (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki) still have them beat. I've heard okay things in general about Yamaha and Suzuki, but Honda bikes have a reputation for being "bulletproof." You can beat the ever-loving crap out of them and they'll still run. And Kawasaki seems to build their bikes specifically to put up with high RPMs. Outside of Japanese makes, I've heard good things about the latest Unit Construction Royal Enfields, but they haven't even been out for a full year yet, so I can't say anything definitively. You may want to look into them regardless, because they've got some nice classic Brit Bike styling cues and a pretty laid back riding style (code for "it doesn't go that fast". Can you tell I'm biased in favor of these guys? At any rate, apart from Harley and the Big Four, you'll be hard pressed to find replacement parts or decent service if and when something does go wrong."

realtorbiker replied: "Honda. Because they break less than any other engine in the world."

champion replied: "It has to be Honda I've had 2 and wish I had my Goldwing back ,nothing on earth as smooth and comfortable."

reddishpa replied: "If you can afford one, I would say Harley Davidson. Not only their mechanics but their chrome, paint, steel and plastic. But if you take care of any bike now days, they will all last forever."

Scootup replied: "Honda."

Bob replied: "I agree with those that said Honda. Nothing beats the Gold Wing in my opinion, it's a perfect example of automotive engineering."

oohimgood replied: "I have a 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic. I bought it last year around August. When making my decision to purchase I took several factors into account. These are Ride-ability, performance, efficiency, ease of maintenance, resale value, looks, and of course price. I researched everything and found that Kawasaki makes the best product for the money. Financing is easy with the companies own company. Terms were great, service was excellent, and they had my color in stock! I am a "big ole boy" and I get anywhere from 52 - 55 mpg on this hoss. My opinon; Kawasaki is the only way to go!"

Are the Honda cars as reliable as the Honda motorcycle's? just wondering because im going to have a look at a honda car tomorow brand new anyone recoment a spesific model? p.s sorry about any spelling mistakes the spell check wont work on this bit :(

Kristi replied: "I have a honda accord and i love it! it gets great gas mileage and maintenance is cheaper."

Lucky Man. replied: "yes they are great especially the civic."

lulu replied: "Oh yes, fantastic. Civic is great, but the Accord if you can stretch"

KackyRetardo replied: "They are great cars, I have a Honda Accord that is 12 years old, over 130,000 miles and has NO rust, no problems at all! We also have the newer Accord silver 2 door, its an awesome sweet lookin' car. Any Honda is a great choice...have fun!"

MellowMan replied: "Yes, they win all the time. A recent Which report put them First for reliability. Best small car JAZZ Best Large car ACCORD Best MPV FR-V"

icesman71 replied: "yes there r I've got a Honda civic and fiat punto r very good to and cheap on fuel two"

thegreatmatt777 replied: "yes honda has the best engines they almost last forever and very rarely does the transmission go"

Danielle replied: "I rely on both Honda cars and motorcycles. They run great and forever. I've had a Honda Accord 86 that ran for 300k miles and then I sold it and its still running. I LOVE HONDAS!!!"

Carl_the_Truth replied: "Honda is one of the best cars out there. And they have a great re-sale value. If I were buying new, I'd go with a Honda or Toyota myself. Accords are a nice car. I don't think you will be disappointed..."

ViperKilla replied: "YES!!!"

teala replied: "In a word - yes. I've had three Honda's - two Accord's and, currently, a Civic. They're mega-reliable. Downsides - purchase price and servicing costs. I remember my first salesman saying to me "I'll only see you once a year, at servicing time." He's been right."

istaffa replied: "I've owned a Civic, Accord and now I have Jazz. Ok, so they are no the most stylish cars in the world but they are comfortable, very very reliable and score highly on the environmental front. They are also fairly cheap to run.The only thing I had go wrong was a faulty rear wiper and it was repaired for no cost - and I got a free coffee while they did it! I've been a Honda owner of 12 years now and can't fault them. What do you want a friend that is glamorous but might break down or a good reliable friend - I know which I prefer! That's why I choose to stick with Honda."

robin redbreast replied: "I have had 5 Honda cars of the years and I can honestly say I have had no trouble with any of them. I purchased a new Honda Civic in May this year and to press I am very pleased with it. My previous car was a Honda Jazz and I only got rid of it because my daughter required a reliable car for her work. I can't rate them too highly"

nedwood65 replied: "All the V-Tech engines are pretty much bullet-proof when it comes to reliability, as long as you look after them."

accorddouble07 replied: "oh yes. I just bought my third honda. just got the '07 accord 4 dr v6 ex-l. I love it just a great car so I reccomend that, but then again it depends on what style you like"

Tomas F replied: "I am not very clear. But my friends who I meeet on a site called bikerkiss say that the motorcycles are more reliable than cars."

stomper replied: "yes"

Looking for a good idea to obtain a Honda motorcycle? I want to give someone a hand up. If they had a motorcycle they could get out of the french quarter to a better job. This person is worthy of one good break in a year of hell. I have listed personal items in barter sections of Craigs list. I have sold things I still fall short of the goal. Some one seriously give me a good idea how to come up with a reliable motorcycle. And yes I am flat broke and no I will not be a prostitute. This guy has survived Not only the worst storm to hit NOLA in 50 years but did not get FEMA money or any real assistance. He lost everything and I know one break he could start over. So please no flippant answers just good ideas on obtaining the goal. There has to be an idea or something I have not thought of to get my hands on a good bike. BTW he has a job its a crap one that hardly meets his needs . Also how do you move when you have only your feet? Bike=Better job .

tonydiekman replied: "is there a junk yard close you might be able to tade or gust ask for one he might have to work on it but its a start also you could go on a sight called kaboo and ask for one also salvation army might be able to help"

klucejr replied: "From what I hear that area is a mess - Move and get A Job - I lost my home (Apartment) once left me with the clothing I ran out with - Lived in my car got eaten by bugs But still had a job and in a few months a new place and so on - so I say get a JOB???"

Which motorcycle brand is more reliable Honda or Yamaha? looking to get a yamaha r6 or honda cbr600

simplemanLS replied: "depends on year"

Taz D'vil replied: "Yamaha every time! Honda have always been crap IMO!!"

dirtytricksracing@sbcglobal.net replied: "Kawasaki of course"

soljathug58 replied: "Always the Honda. Well Yamaha is awesome too so they are probably the same reliability."

guardrailjim replied: "The Honda is more reliable. The Yamaha offers better performance - speed, handling."

Akumu X replied: "Hondas are often known for their reliability."

marty b replied: "i would choose honda, but there is very little between them."

Where to buy a honda cbr600rr 07 new in kuwait? ill be shifting there in a few months and i want to buy a NEW 600rr 07 .Are there any reliable honda motorcycle dealers in Kuwait?

TasnimOfKuwait replied: "We have a dealer for Honda in Kuwait if you want to buy a new Honda, otherwise Meedan Hawalli and Salmiya are two areas that are full of places where you can buy a used car. Just make sure no one cheats you because you're an exapt."

cvoxmaris replied: "At Mutawa Alkazi Co.,Ltd. Import and sales of motorcycles, automobiles and power products Address Fourth Ring Road, Al Rai, Kuwait Telephone / Fax Tel:965-833334 / Fax:965-4710955 And they are the only Honda dealer in Kuwait."

Out of the big 4 Japanese motorcycle companies which one is the most reliable? I want to know which street bike is the most reliable, dependable, simple to fix, fast, popular, cool looking. Out of the big 4 which is Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki,Kawasaki, which one of those street bikes do you recommend me getting that is the most reliable, trouble free performance, and is guaranteed to last forever, basically bullet proof, and precise engineering? Which one those is nothing but the best of the best?

Brandon H replied: "Suzuki. Hands down. Hyabusa rated the fastest production bike countless years. A lot of maintenance. I personally like the GSXR 750. Its a well rounded bike that can still knock your socks off. But if you want the comfort of the cruiser with the balls of the Crotch rocket go with the M109R. Its a beast and it never disappoints."

Mustard replied: "my dad has a 2001 hayabusa with a ton of miles and no problems yet. only replaced: chain, lots of tires, and oil. they all last for a long time if you change the oil"

kawasaki replied: "honda is the most reliable.there is a review of a honda in london that has 1 million miles on it and hasent had anything done to the engine.what other motorcycle did you ever hear of having that many miles on?none.dont belive me look it up i think it was a cx500cc.oh yea the fastest production motorcycle thats is gas powered is the zx14.not the busa.inless you want talk about j lenos C18 Allison Rolls Royce jet engine motorcycle."

Steve Y replied: "None of the Big 4 got where they are today without being reliable. Your question is a bit like asking if white string or brown is better."

ACE replied: "Zook."

janice_hamilton@ymail.com replied: "All of the Japanese imports are about the same for reliablilty and bullet proof engines. Now fastest production bike is the Hybusa (Suzuki). As with all sportbikes, just how reliable is is gonna be, depends on how you ride it, and how you maintain it. same as any other bike really. And by the way, no bike is guaranteed to last forever. too much depends on the loose nut behind the handlebars."

Ryde-on replied: "Honda Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki In that order"

shel_bug66 replied: "Just get a Rebel, it's easy to work on."

WiFi replied: "I would have to say Yamaha mainly the 2008 Yamaha R6 why? Well Yamaha Totally redesigned a already perfect machine to make it even better! Plus it is gave Biker Choice of 07, 08. I own one and I've never had any problem other then it looking and driving so damn good down the road. But Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda are all dependable bikes."

Billy FZ1 replied: "I have owned Kawasaki, Suzuki and now Yamaha, never Honda. Of the ones I have owned the Kaw is by far the best."

Akumu X replied: "Say it before say it again. (And I don't even own one.) Honda. I've looked through numerous magazines, reviews and word of mouth. All 4 are reliable, but Honda reliability keeps getting spoken as if the 2 go hand in hand. I own a Kawasaki and 0 problems thus far."

bluff mike replied: "All motorcycles are measured against Honda."

XYZ replied: "Funny how the questions with no answer get the most answers."

what is the most reliable 250cc motorcyle? I am wondering which motorcycle is the most reliable? the honda rebel, the gz250, the ninja 250, or the virage? or anything else in the $3000 price range? thanks

bluffmike replied: "Honda Rebel."

maintman replied: "foir the money go with honda rebel, can;t hardly kill them"

tffsprl replied: "I would say the Honda CMX 250 Rebel. This is the bike that I started on. Easier to handle when starting to ride. I bought mine used, 1997 model. It gets a lot of looks as well since it resembles the Harley Low-Boys of previous years."

Eric M replied: "go with the honda. i own a honda 4 wheeler and cbr 600 f4i. i love honda and i have never had a problem with any of them"

Eldude replied: "I like the Yamaha Viarga and that is a lot to say from a dyed in wool Harly rider."

what cruiser motorcycle is the most reliable, fun and responsive.? Just starting out, I do not want to have to fix it often. Some have told me that brands of bmw and honda are most reliable. True/untrue? Please point me in the right direction. Each dealer that I've gone to obviously says that their brand is the best.

cantstandya replied: "Go buy a magazine or pay for the motorcycleonline.com subscription. They have complete reviews of what you are asking. I don't ride cruisers, but the honda brand is considered #1 in quality. BMW and other japanese manufacturers are good with quality as well, but not quite at the level of honda. Surprisingly, the harley's are pretty reliable now adays although they aren't at the Honda level. I would stay away from British and Italian as parts sourcing can be difficult. BMW distribution can be similar, but it depends on where you live. Fun and responsive is in the eye of the beholder..."

wakit300 replied: "You should check out a Triumph America or Speedmaster. They use an 790/865cc air cooled twin engine that is super reliable, plenty powerful and vibration free. They're also great looking, handling and will get you there plenty fast. Even better is the fact that they are priced at thousands less than any other comparable bike. And lastly, the best thing about these bikes is that you don't have to fix or mess with them unless you want to (there's lots of options for upgrading and customizing)! You can see basic info at the Triumph website (including any dealers in your area) and lots of detailed info at bonnevilleamerica.com (make sure and check out the forums)."

JetDoc replied: "I'll have to agree with the other guys... Honda has an excellent reputation for reliability, and if that's your main concern, then you can't go far wrong on a Honda, or any late-model Japanese motorcycle. BMW doesn't build cruiser style bikes, but they do have a good reputation for reliability. Unfortunately, you'll find they are much more expensive to buy and to maintain than their Japanese counterparts. I would also stay away from the Italians and other European imports such as Ducati, Aprilia, Triumph, etc, at least until you got more experience on maintaining a motorcycle. Whatever you decide on, check on the manufacturer's warranty and make sure you're covered for the kind of riding you want to do on your new bike. Ride Safe!"

Which motorcycle company is makes the most reliable product; Kawasaki or Yamaha? I'm going to buy a motorcycle (used of course, because I'm a poor college kid) and i have narrowed my choices down to a Yamaha YZF- R6 or the Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R. Does anybody have any advice to offer as to which is more reliable, which will last longer, ect. please no comments like... "both are stupid, go with Suzuki or Honda" or "yamaha sucks" or "Kawasaki sucks".... you get the idea

boogie_4wheel replied: "They are pretty much identical in my book. I think you should base your choice on which bike you like better. Go ride each one, and purchase the bike that you feel more comfortable with or like better."

Doctor Death replied: "Both bikes are reliable- most Japanese bikes are. The reliability of either of these bikes will depend more on the maintenance regime of the previous owner and the way it's been ridden rather than an inherent reliability. If the previous owner(s) thrashed the knackers off it, never changed the oil and it wasn't run in properly when it was bought new, it'll probably be a dog, regardless. Caveat emptor."

Bart S replied: "Yamaha the build quality is better on the Yamaha I look at Kawasaki as a generic bike"

Baron_von_Party replied: "I have just the opposite opinion, out of the Big 4, I have always noticed that Kawasaki is a bit more durable in the materials they use compared to the others, not so fast to hop on the "plastic driveline component" bandwagon. A slight bit more sedate in their styling and engineering."

Jordon replied: "niether of those 2. honda is the way to go in terms of dirtbikes. yamaha is ok and i have owend a few of em but i had alot of engine trouble."

Flat_out_Bob replied: "Go with what you like. Both are good bikes I've had both. Years ago. Don't listen to any one that says one is better than the other."

zero_eden_delmo replied: "If your looking for older models I am going to highly recommend the 2003-2006 Kawasaki Zx-6R "not the Zx-6RR". They have Kawasaki's legendary 636 engine in it. The Zx-6RR was made so that they could race in the Superspot class, so it uses a traditional 600cc engine rather than the 636cc. The bike rides great and is fairly comfortable as far as sportbikes go. Really the only problem was that when people raced them the tranny would give out. But for street uses you would never see it. As far as Yamaha's go I would recommend the Yamaha Yzf-R6S rather than the 2006-2009 R6. They really fixated on it being a race bike. So the consumers ended up with a painfully awful riding ergo’s. The engine was also set up to be racing influenced. So don’t expect any power until you reach the 12,000 rpm's mark. Than it's going to kick you in your "u know". Many people seem to almost like it because it makes the bike feel faster than it actually is. Your wrists and back will thank you for getting the far more road worthy R6S. You should really look closely on the model's Kawasaki's 2007 and up Zx-6R's use cassette style transmissions which are THE BEST. And class leading Slipper clutches. Really the only thing they were missing was some more Hp which they got for the 2009's. The 2009 Zx-6R is the fasted 600 EVER!. Not kidding. I will show the link! And has dominated the 2009 class for both street uses and track. You really need to just go and sit-on and possibly test ride them to be able to get a feeling of what each of these animals are all about. And if you think I am siding with Kawasaki a little too much. Keep this in mind I absolutely HATE the way they look .That’s why for now I am staying with my Suzuki. But mechanically they are beautiful. I am hoping Suzuki follows foot so that I might have a reason to upgrade my 750."
