What would women notice physically if they had as much testosterone as men have? Besides the obvious like facial hair and lower voice. Like in their sex drives. I have been trying to put myself in my husband's shoes. I read somewhere that men develop 10 times more testosterone that women, and my husband says, "It's like when we are having sex and you are feeling extremely horny? That's how men feel 24/7 except until 10 minutes after they have sex." Is this true?

Adri replied: "idk I wanna know 2."

Sylent_Killer replied: "most of the time this is true but on occasion men can have lower levels of testosterone but that only usually lasts for a few hours then its back to being extremely horny so imagine men go through when they are extremely horny"

Is it true that endurance training for men lowers testosterone? I read articles online that very recently they found out that endurance training for months and years lower testosterone in men. Unknown why this is so but is even better for the men's heart, etc. Any doctors here? I would love to hear your opinion about this "myth" Thanks.

sarge927 replied: "I'm not a doctor, but I have read several articles in several publications (Mens Health, Muscle & Fitness, etc.) that say that exact thing. The articles I have read also indicate that endurance training is NOT better for a man's heart. They say strength training is every bit as good as (if not better than) cardio for heart health. Want to read more? The articles I've read also indicate low-protein/high-carb diets are the worst possible thing for a man's testosterone level. Apparently the optimum is a perfect 3-way balance between protein, carbs, and fat for most men. Men who are trying to build muscle need more complex carbs, and men who are trying to lose weight need less carbs and more protein and fat. Is any of this true? I don't know, but put it this way -- I don't look at marathon runners as the picture of manliness...they look more like malnutrition poster-children."

Is there any link or studies between men with moustaches and too much testosterone ? It sure seems like a high percentage of moustached men have high (in my opinion too high) levels of testosterone. Policemen, men on to catch a predator, Dictators. I wonder if there is any study about this ... okay, is there anyone who doesn't think i'm crazy ? I know lots of women agree.

hooper5446 replied: "No connection between men with moustaches and testosterone, but there is a connection between men with moustaches and adult films of the late 1970's."

~midNightmeetsMe~ replied: "That's funny....but your kinda right. I think some guys just like them though. The guys I know with them are nice people. One is an ex-cop and ex-military by the way! Probably just what they're used to."

Does the level of testosterone in men affect their behavior/physical appearance? Like for example, men with higer testosterone levels are more manly while those with lower ones are more .........hmmm...Gay-ish? ssisy? and does it affect physical appearance as well? like man boobs?

€! replied: "Gay men don't have lower testosterone... I bet that a higher level of testosterone could make a guy more agressive, but I don't think it would do much to change his appearance."

malcolm c replied: "hormone levels bear no relationship to sexual orientation, but do effect typically male charecteristics such as height and beard growth"

Red hot Lover replied: "yes. if you have a high level of testosterone you are more likely to be flirty and do anything to get the girl in your bed."

ilovehannah2009 replied: "Body builders have high testosterone because its quicker to build muscle, you get more horney when there higher but you finish in bed quicker when they'r higher too, dont mean your gay though"

mesho f replied: "increase of testosterone, will increase your lust, and your aggression"

Dan H replied: "Testosterone levels may affect a variety of things, such as sexual ability (NOT orientation) and general aggressiveness as well as hair growth, and general energy. The lack of testosterone affects males differently depending on the severity and the stage of life it happens - birth, puberty or at adulthood. It's called male hypogonadism. You can look it up here: "

Ashille replied: "Not necessarily. While gay men don't have testosterone deficiency, big strong [alpha masculine] men tend to have a higher level of testosterone. This is a bid of a mystery else 'gayness' could have been cured by giving testosterone supplements to gay blokes {not to generalise, who don't like being gay of course}"

What is the best method to increase your testosterone levels in men over 50? I am interested in specific vitamins or other methods to maintain a higher level of testosterone at my age to prevent the muscle loss that is prevalent ain men over 50.

psychopiet replied: "A testosterone injection, works a treat."

atheism_and_rats replied: "Peruvian Ginseng (maca) - get it from herbalists, health food shops and ebay. Google maca for a full list of benefits."

drfulkrumsinvisiblekneemachine replied: "Dr. Bob Marshall has some stuff. Info can be found at. It is from live source nutrients, not bio-engineered crap. It provides the basic proteins and cellular ingredients that the body uses to produce it's own testosterone."

jennylynn replied: "My husband's doc recommended a cream he rubs on his chest. It's done wonders for him. She's also an alternative medicine doc and told him that most supplements will not do for you what injections and creams will do."

Men with higher testosterone levels are less likely to get married? The more testosterone a man has, the more likey he is to cheat on his girlfriend/wife and not get married. Men who are good partners and willing to commit usually have low testosterone levels. So only girly-men get into serious long-term relationships with women. Real men just spread their seed. >
Greeno replied: "Yeah dude, keep believin' that if helps you get through the lonely nights."

Rio Madeira replied: "Greeno: AWESOME! You can play the girly-man card all you want, but your girly is our sensitive. Do you honestly think a woman would want an insensitive guy around for the long haul?"

manbeast replied: "If you get married you've just screwed up. For some reason these women think it's desirable for men to get into long term relationships like marriage. So high testosterone men are good for quick flings eh? Good job that's what I want and not this girly marriage crap."

wk_coe replied: "That's because us men who fit that scenario are gay and they haven't really legalized marriage among us yet."

jackie replied: "yea that pretty much explains why men are such dooshbags.. and its amazingly pathetic that you guys are proud of that. i would be ashamed to be a male."

nnatindahat replied: "no, a REAL man will stay, commit and love. he will protect and provide and love his family. a cop out lonley and loveless person would run."

Cassius replied: "yah well most guys are high testosterone etc.. Thats what marriage is about, keeping them in line. But now that it is socialy acceptable not to marry there are men who get all the girls they want and dont marry and there are men who need to provide to get any. Also many men dont marry because they are afraid of prison."

The Mrs. replied: "Then why is my husband so freaking horny?"

Object Of Its Ire replied: ""Men with higher testosterone levels are less likely to get married?" Yes. Their crimes land them in prison, where they have long-term relationships with cellmates. Really: "The key to this study is it shows testosterone is linked to dominance in both criminal behavior and behavior in prison," says Dr. James Dabbs, a professor of psychology at Georgia State University and lead researcher on the project. Testosterone levels were highest among male inmates convicted of violent crimes such as rape, homicide and assault. These men also violated more prison rules.""

How did men survive before Testosterone therapy? I am reading about how men in the past cut their balls off for various reasons, I have a very low testosterone and I can assure you it is a psychological hell I am in, how did men survive and live while having low or no testosterone Do you need hormones to keep you going in life?

dantesuikoden replied: "Have a girl rub up on you, that should get you going"

What are the best natural treatments for low testosterone in men? This is for someone who is in his mid thirties. Doctors cannot find any disease or cause for the low testosterone. Looking for natural remedies, not drugs....

Keith replied: "Testosterone is natural. He needs to get a prescription for a testosterone cream that he would absorb through the skin twice a day. Look up: Key Pharmacy The Longevity Clinic "

Divan K replied: "Hormone pills."

SmileandtheWorldSmileswithYou replied: "It used to be unusual for someone in their mid-thirties to be low in testosterone, but now it is more prevalent. Some reasons are: *he does not take enough protein (testosterone is derived from cholesterol) *eats or drinks too much tofu (too much phytoestrogens) *uses too much plastic containers ex. reusing disposable water bottles - xenoextrogens (estrogen like petrochemical stuff) *too much dairy products - there are too much estrogen hormones in US dairy sits in an enironement too near computer printers and photocopiers (again xenoestrogens) Does he take statins for controlling cholesterol? Again it effects testosterone production. He should exercise with weights more - but it is Catch-22 as if he is low in testosterone he is too tired to build it. He can try Tongkat Ali - a Malaysian root that gets the body to build testosterone. Once he gets energized by it, please quickly get some weight training into the health regimen. Try this URL for learning more about Tongkat Ali: Or how to buy it: Good luck"

Dr.Rahul_Gupta MBBS Sexologist replied: "There are some rare herbs available in India For more details and consultation you can contact me at"

Do men have lower levels of testosterone today than they did years ago? Do men have less testosterone than they did back when we were a more primitive species and they needed it more?

Allan W replied: "I certainly do."

Daniel replied: "Men are fatter today and therefore have more estrogen and less testosterone."

Josh T replied: "only the married ones, the rest of us are doing fine just fine"

Alone GuY replied: "The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) estimates that 4 to 5 million American men may suffer from low testosterone, but only 5 percent are currently treated. So, considering the whole world i think there are many people that suffer from this.... So, i think U make right sense,,,, yes today's men have low level of testosterone."
